Vaccinations Required for Boarding
Before your pet can be boarded at Sagemoor Kennels proof of the following Vaccinations is required.
Many vaccination protocols are now beginning to be changed. You should talk with your veterinarian about each disease and your pet’s yearly vaccination requirements.
Canine Disterper Vaccination
This is a composite of several diseases. Depending on the combination your Veterinarian uses, it may include some or all of the following:
- Distemper
- Canine hepatitis
- Leptospirosis
- Parainfluenza
- Parvo virus
- Corona virus
Bordetella
These vaccines add additional protection against coughing viruses, they are given every six months to one year depending on your Veterinarian’s recommendations
Rabies
Rabies vaccinations for pets are required by law. They are usually given between 4 and 6 months. Depending on state law, boosters may be given yearly and or every 3 years. Again, be sure to follow your veterinarian’s recommendations.
Feline Distemper Vaccination
This is also a composite, containing mostly upper respiratory diseases including Panleukopenia, Feline Viral Rhinotrachetis, Calici Pneumonitis. Other cat vaccines Include Feline Leukemia and Feline Infectious Peritonitis. Your veterinarian can Tell you if your cat requires these additional vaccinations.
Like most reputable pet care facilities SAGEMOOR KENNELS require proof of vaccination before your pet can board. This is not only for the protection of your pet, but for the protection of other pets in a the care of Sagemoor Kennels. Without proof of current vaccinations SAGEMOOR KENNELS will not accept your pet for boarding.
